MFF India SGP Call For Proposals (3rd Cycle)

Location: New Delhi, India. 5th Mar 2013 to 5th Apr 2013

MFF India invites proposals for the third cycle of its small grant programme.

The proposal for a SGP must address at least one of the 15 Programmes of Work (PoWs) defined under the MFF Programme goals and objectives. The Small Grant Programme will support small-scale coastal restoration and management efforts, prioritised, designed and where possible implemented by local communities, small-scale business or research organisations.

During the current cycle, support for activities will be considered across the folowing geographic locations: the Gulf of Kachchh (Gujarat), Bhitarkanika (Orissa), the Gulf of Mannar and Pichavaram (Tamil Nadu). 

 This call for proposals will provide funding for projects addressing one or more of the following:

  • Promote innovative community based coastal rehabilitation projects
  • Build community resiliences
  • Build local capacity to implement sustainable development strategies
  • Create public awareness on environmental issues as an integral part of the project
  • Address livelihood, income, equality and gender based concerns
  • Demonstrate potential for replication or scaling-up and co-finacning
  • Create an impact on policy at National/State/District levels, for Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM)

Small Grant project budgets will range from USD 10,000 to USD 20,000 for a duration of 12 to 18 months.
