Mangroves against the storm

This week, the 23rd session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 23) to the UN Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) is taking place in Bonn, Germany. In honor of #COP23, IUCN Forests, in collaboration with the IUCN marine programme, has produced a photo story on mangroves: A crucial natural resource against atmospheric carbon and the devastating effects of sea level rise. The story highlights the role of the MFF programme in securing mangrove ecosystems, alongside the Bonn Challenge and the Global Mangrove Alliance.
