MFF Regional Seminar on Improving Marine Protected Areas Management Effectiveness

Location: Bangkok, Thailand. 7th Sep 2012

MFF along with Department of Wildlfie, National Parks and Plant Conservation Thailand (DNP), and institutional partners United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is organizing a regional seminar on improving Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) management effectiveness from 27 - 28 September 2012 in Bangkok, Thailand. The seminar will enable the sharing of knowledge, experience and lessons learnt in managing MPAs and that the findings of the Thai Management Effectiveness Evaluation (MEE) project in replicating the approach at different scales across Thailand and in the region.

During the workshop, Mangroves for the Future (MFF) and participants will

1. share experiences and lessons learned amid MFF countries in MPAs 

2. capture good practices for effective MPAs management and provide MFF with further action points and recommendations
