  • The Sonneratia caseolaris fruit has a lot of nutrients, can cure a number of diseases and it is harvested in large number

  • Limitation in research and consumption lead to lacks in recognition for the economic and nutritional values of the Sonneratia caseolaris fruit

  • The project will not only contribute to maintaining and developing the livelihoods of the local community but also help increase forest coverage and conserve the mangroves area

  • Survey on mangrove fruits on 25 June 2014
  • Training on mangroves values and mangroves fruits harvest conducted to 37 local people. The fruits were sold at VND7,000/kg by the local people
  • 2000 liters of beverage produced, bottled and labeled.
  • Quality has been registered. The product has been introduced and promoted at 3 local fairs.
  • 40 households were trained to produce Sonneratira powder (out of project scope)
